BeSafe safest rear facing seat from baby to seven years

Stretch has many benefits, but the most important is the safety aspect. First, a little insight for you to get the context. Most parents say that they turn their kids forward facing around the age of 3-4 years. But did you know that the safest option is to be rear facing for even longer?

With this as a backdrop, we’ve put all our effort into making a seat that truly takes into account that it needs outstanding performance in crash tests even for children all the way to 7 years. Consumer insight has shown that an issue with rear facing seats is that the kids grow out of the seat due to their weight before they reach 125 cm. So we set a hairy goal of Stretch being able to both bear the weight of 36 kg and enough leg space for older children. No other car seat manufacturer has ever managed this before.

As we’ve made child car seats since 1963 we took all these years of experience and put it into the development of this one seat. The construction of the seat makes it possible to perform extremely well in crash tests. Even with the heaviest test doll. Its unique external frame bears the forces in a frontal crash. In addition, the spine of the seat shell is astonishingly rigid and will make sure your child is kept in a stable position in an impact. We understand that when choosing a car seat, the manufacturers promise of safety isn’t enough, so our proof is that Stretch has passed the world’s toughest crash test – the Swedish PLUS test.

Streeeetch out the seat to fit your growing child

For a seat to fit a child from 6 months to seven years no doubt it needs to be flexible. Let’s spell it all out for you.

  1. Remove the extra cushions when necessary
  2. The headrest can be expanded in 10 steps
  3. The leg space is market-leading – all the way to 26 cm
  4. There’s space enough for an adult in the passenger seat

Flexibility for your family

As you’re going to use the same seat for many years, we know it is important for you to have flexible solutions. When your child is younger, it might be handy to have him in the passenger seat to keep him close. If you have three kids you might need to install three car seats in a row on the rear bench. Being a belt installed seat, it has the benefit of not being dependent on where in your car you’ve got ISOfix. You can install it in any seat you want. Well, maybe not the driver’s seat though. We also know that kids might fall asleep in the car, and you’ll need the flexibility to easily recline the seat while it is installed. Check! Lastly, whenever you need to move the seat out of or between cars you won’t bust your back – the seat is lightweight with only 10 kg.

Sustainable innovation

We know we’re not only responsible for taking care of the safety of our children today, but also making sure we do our part in making their future as green and safe as possible. By using durable materials such as aluminium and exchanging the more vulnerable EPS with sturdy EPP we’ve made sure Stretch can last for much longer. In addition, we have managed to make the exchange of parts a lot easier, so that we can repair them if needed. This combined has expanded the lifetime of the seat to about 15 years. And after 15 years, when Stretch has done its job, we’ve made sure materials are recyclable and that it is easy to disassemble the seat so that it easily can be disposed and recycled.During the years you use Stretch your child will probably have a few spilling accidents:check out how to clean your car seat

Rear facing life hacks

There are a few myths about keeping your child rear facing. We want to share some knowledge to make rear facing comfortable and safe for you and your little one.

  1. Use a mirror to make sure you keep track of your kid in the back seat. This way you avoid turning your head while driving.
  2. It might actually be a better view outside facing backwards as objects outside don’t fly by so quickly. Just make sure you avoid blocking their view with luggage etc.
  3. Adjust the leg space while your child grows to keep them from complaining about lack of leg space.
  4. Install Stretch in the passenger seat to keep your child closer during their first years*.Check out our passenger seat installation video.

Disclaimer:Make sure you’re able to see the side mirror if installing the seat in the passenger seat.
